Incentives and Subsidies

What are the various incentives/subsidies available under policy?

Tourism policy (2015-2020) vide G.R dated 24.09.2015 provides various incentives to the eligible investors including capital subsidy, Interest Subsidy, Registration / Stam Duty concession, Exemption from luxury tax, entertainment tax, electricity duty etc for establishing eligible tourism units across the state.

What is the maximum Capital Subsidy that an Eligible New Tourism Unit can get?

Additional Capital Subsidy of 5% will be provided to following:- New Tourism Units coming up within the Corporation limits of Gandhinagar (State Capital) and also adjoining areas falling within the radius of 20 kms but within the District of Gandhinagar

Will I get Interest Subsidy on loan taken?

@5% of the Loan Amount with maximum amount of Rs.25 lakhs per annum for a period of five years in Municipal Corporation areas for eligible tourism units.

@7% of the Loan Amount with maximum amount of Rs.30 lakhs per annum for a period of five years in the areas other than mentioned above.

Registration / Stamp Duty concession

Eligible Tourism Units will qualify for 100% reimbursement of Stamp Duty and Registration Fee on sale/lease/transfer of land for the first transaction only during the operative period of this Policy. Reimbursement of Stamp Duty and Registration Fee would be made after the date of commencement of commercial operations.

Policy Period and Coverage

This Policy shall come into force with effect from the date of issuance of the Policy GR and shall remain in force till 31stMarch 2020 or till the declaration of a new or revised Policy, whichever is earlier. This Policy will supersede any GR/Circular (issued earlier) in contravention of the provisions of this Policy.
